The antenna is an aluminum die cast which is then powder coat painted for added environmental protection. Because of it's grid design the antenna offers excellent wind loading characteristics.

The antenna is constructed of 2 separate die cast aluminum pieces which are assembled together during installation. This saves significant $$ in shipping costs because the shipping size is much less than other types of 28dBi antenna systems.

The antenna comes complete with the die cast grid, dipole(feed) and heavy duty mounting bracket with stainless steel hardware for up to 2 inch diameter poles. The bracket gives up to 45 degrees of tilt angle. The antennas can be installed in Vertical or Horizontal Polarization.

Step 1: Decide if Horizontal Polarity (HPOL) or Vertical Polarity (VPOL) is required. The polarity is changed by rotating the entire feed horn/antenna assembly on the bracket. Also decide if uptilt or downtilt will be required. The bracket can be mounted to provide uptilt or downtilt. The mounting relationship between the feedhorn and antenna is fixed by the feedhorn mount and the antenna wires.

Step 2: Assemble the feedhorn/antenna and bracket by inserting 2 carraige bolts through the feed horn mount and 1 carraige bolt into the remaining bracket hole.

Step 3: Install the antenna assembly to the pole using the V Block pole clamp and U Bolt. Adjust to desired rotation and angular position and then tighten U-Bolt nuts.

The 5GHz parabolic grid directional antennas offered by Laird Technologies utilize a unique patented parabolic grid design with compact high performance feed. The antennas are constructed of welded steel wires which are galvanized and then powder coat painted with a light gray epoxy paint.

Mounting is simplified with the Laird Technologies bracket system made of galvanized steel with stainless steel hardware. The antenna comes with a bulkhead N Female connector standard.
